How to connect Jabra?


A wireless headset is a very convenient device that allows you to talk on the phone hands-free. The most popular headsets today are Jabra - they are reliable and inexpensive. In this article we will talk about the features of this headset, as well as how to connect Jabra to your phone.

Jabra options

Your Jabra headset can answer and manage multiple calls simultaneously, including holding a call and switching between a held call and an active call. Jabra also supports voice commands and lets you quickly call the last number you dialed.

Turn on the headset

  1. Set the On/Off switch. to On position
  2. Insert the headset into your ear.
  3. Press and hold the Answer/End call button until the blue Bluetooth light flashes and the headset pairing mode sounds.
  4. Next, follow the voice instructions for setup.

Connecting your phone to the headset

  1. Activate Bluetooth on your phone and start searching for available devices.
  2. When your headset's network is detected, select it and enter the access password found in your headset's documentation. As a rule, these are four zeros, but combinations may vary depending on the specific model.
  3. Wait 15-30 seconds, the connection should be completed.

Radius of action

Remember that the range of the headset is 30 meters, do not move away from the phone when talking at a greater distance. Also, if you hear interference in your headset during a call, try moving closer to the phone. If the phone is already within the closest possible radius, the problem most likely lies in the insufficient quality of the signal from the telecom operator.

Design, construction

In fact, Jabra continues the course towards simplicity taken with EasyGo. The body is made of black plastic, fingerprints are invisible, the packaging is nice - traditional black with splashes of yellow. Wearing style, comfort

You can wear the headset either with or without a headband; the kit includes tips not only of different sizes, but also types - as you can see, some with a protrusion for better fixation in the ear. If you choose it correctly, then without a bow, even with sudden movements, the device remains in place. I liked the regular one most, without a protrusion, and you can insert it quickly and take up less space.


Control

On the front there is a multifunction button, on the back there is a power lever, it is made very well, it will help you save battery power - when the headset is not needed, you can simply turn it off. At the end there is a volume rocker. All buttons are pressed with a click, the effort is adjusted, only positive emotions.



Special thanks to Jabra for the well made indicator lights. Firstly, they are large, made with those people in mind who have not used headsets. Secondly, they help you quickly understand the battery charge status and understand the connection. Thirdly, they are simply beautiful and, what is important, invisible from the outside. No other budget headset has such an important addition, and Jabra, in my opinion, does it very well. And the experience should be transferred to other products.



Nutrition

The stated operating time is about six hours; in standby mode, the device can work for about eight days. The kit includes a regular charger, which is good because you can charge your phone or smartphone. Charging time is about two hours. In fact, the headset works for about six hours, which is a good indicator for a budget product.


Additional functions

Multipoint is supported, I used a pairing with an iPhone 4S, Blackberry 9780. In fact, there were no problems with pairing, but the phone connected to the second one kept falling off - it was an iPhone. Strange, but after removing the devices and reconnecting everything worked stably. Apparently there is some kind of shift in the matrix.

Phone connection, sound quality

The headset has a typical set of functions, such as dialing the last number, activating voice dialing, and switching between lines. The Bluetooth 2.1 profile with EDR is used, the operating range is about five meters, tested in the office. The quality of speech transmission is four plus; unfortunately, the interlocutors, as a rule, understood that the conversation was being conducted over a headset, sometimes they asked again if loud music was playing nearby, and asked to speak louder. In a quiet room the quality is better, but, nevertheless, not “five”.


conclusions

At retail, Jabra EasyCall costs about 1,200 rubles; there are many competitors. The product in question has a good design, the indicator lights are interesting, and will make life easier for those who have not previously used headsets at all. Normal operating time, comfortable to wear, voice quality is good, but not outstanding. In any case, Jabra’s position in the Russian market is such that inexpensive products are popular, sell well, and consumers trust the brand. In my opinion, it’s worth working on the quality of speech transmission; competitors from the same Samsung are doing better with this. I would also like to note that the package included is good; network storage is not available for everyone.
